5 Best Business Thinkers on Twitter

Today is #followfriday on Twitter and since I haven’t posted since last week I thought I’d ease back in with another list of people I twitter_logo_125x29follow. This week I’m writing about “business”.  All this really means is that I’ve sorted these people’s blogs into my business folder on Google Reader.  Here’s my list:

  • Rex Hammock – Rex owns a custom publishing business and writes about the intersection of the print and digital world. He is also a great chronicler of other Rex’s on the internet.
  • Dave Winer – Dave is the creator of RSS, p odcasting?, the OPML editor and many other neat thing.  Dave is a successful businessman but I love him because he’s a digital tinkerer and uses Twitter and his blog to show us what he’s playing with.
  • Jason Calacanis – Jason is a serial entrepreneur and a great provocateur. He founded Weblogs Inc. and now focuses his time on his people-powered search engine Mahalo.  This week he’s offering $250K for a spot on Twitter’s 100 suggested users.
  • Fred Wilson – Fred is a venture capitalist at Union Square Ventures.  His blog A VC is always though provoking and boasts a vibrant community of commenters.  Fred funds many of the companies whose technologies I use and that alone makes his voice unique.  Sadly, Fred also gives me the heads up on cool new bands!
  • Russell Beattie – Russell’s blog is an old favorite of mine.  He is a smart digital businessman and what makes me really jealous is that he tends to hack together prototypes of his own thinking.

Let me know who else I should be following?
